FAQ´sOn this Page frequently asked questiones are listedI get problems with the"Diveguide Dorset Multimedial" and Windows XP The CD runs perfect on an "virgin" Windows XP system. But when it is older, it can happen that you get an error code like "probleme beim öffnen ......\temp". The error code is in german, because the CD is made with an german version of Macromedia Director. The solution of the problem is very easy. Just make a link from the file intro.exe on the CD to your desktop. Click the new symbol on your desktop with the right mousebar and select properties. Then change the compatibility mode to Windows98/ME. Then it will run without any problems. A better explanation is in translation and will appear on this page in only a few days! I get problems with the "Diveguide Dorset Multimedial" on an other operating Systen as Windows XP. Suddenly I have an error code like "fehlende Xtras" Error message: "fehlende Xtras" In extensive tests, our programmes showed no tendencies to crash down. Nevertheless, it may happen that by this take you shut down the programme incorrectly (for example when your notebook's charger is empty or when you open the CD-ROM drive by mistake during the use of the programme. This is no joke: it happened to me once using my notebook...) If something like this happens and you get the error message that you need some Xtras to continue with the programme, you should simply delete the directory named Xtras below the directory c:\Windows\temp. Normally our programme deletes this directory automatically, when it is shut down correctly (even when you use the chief button). Afterwards the programme will run as smoothly as before the problem. Windows is a trademark of Microsoft . Director is a trademark of the Macromedia Inc. |
